DJ and Yana met at their local church in Seattle. DJ was originally from a tiny farm town made up of 300 people and Yana came from a bigger farm town but a farm town nonetheless. They were both living in a big city now so when it came to deciding on a wedding theme they went with a classic look but at a beautiful setting at Maplehurst Farm in Mount Vernon, WA to tie them back to their childhood roots. The Brides vision was quiet simple. She wanted toned down beautiful colors that would only compliment the nature around them. They had also decided to take their photos before the wedding at a park in Deception Pass and it was the best decision, I must say. The weather was perfect and the photos were brilliant with all the toned down colors of the wedding party. She went with greytones with a touch of purple and green. It was beautiful.
All the other details just came into place once the theme was set. The invitations and calligraphy where created by her friend Rosie that started her own business called Songbird Paperie. The dress was purchased at Pearls and Lace in Burien. A gem of a place. Decorations including back drop, tables, centerpieces, and flowers were done by her cousins at Décor N Design. Make up was done byMakeupJewel who did a perfect job. Veil and jewelry was created by Décor, Design, and Alterations. The ring was dreamt up by the groom himself and designed and created by his trusted jeweler…(still getting the name from DJ)
